PM awards Rs2.5m to brave excavator driver who rescued Balochistan flood victims

Shehbaz Sharif also announces free university education for Mohibullah's children and free healthcare for his family

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Mohibullah, an excavator driver who risked his life to save people stranded in floodwaters in Qila Abdullah, at the Prime Minister's House in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The prime minister praised Mohibullah's bravery and his dedication to saving lives, stating, "The entire nation, including myself, is proud of you." He added, "You are a hero of the nation. You displayed courage in saving precious human lives."

Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the significance of Mohibullah's actions, saying, "Risking your own life to save others in such difficult circumstances is an act of bravery. You have fulfilled a national duty by rescuing those in distress."

In recognition of his courage, the prime minister awarded Mohibullah with a cash prize of Rs2.5 million on behalf of the Government of Pakistan. He also announced free university education for Mohibullah's children and free healthcare for his family.

Speaking to the prime minister, Mohibullah said, "It is a great honour for me to meet the prime minister of my country. I never imagined I would have this opportunity."

Mohibullah expressed his gratitude, adding, "I never thought that my actions in saving lives would gain national attention. I am thankful to the prime minister and the government for recognising my efforts and taking the time to meet me."

Mohibullah expressed heartfelt thanks for the respect and recognition he received at the Prime Minister's House.
