Reports of gunfire near the residence of Punjabi singer and rapper AP Dhillon in Vancouver, Canada, have emerged, according to India Today. While official confirmation from local authorities is pending, the incident has raised significant concerns.

The Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang has claimed responsibility for the shooting, allegedly posting a threatening message on social media. The message warned Dhillon to "stay within his limits" or face severe consequences.

These threats appear to be connected to Dhillon's recent collaboration with Bollywood actor Salman Khan in the music video for Old Money. The gang claims to have conducted shootings at two locations in Canada on September 1 - one near Dhillon's home on Victoria Island and another in Woodbridge, Toronto.

Canadian law enforcement is currently investigating the authenticity of the social media posts and the reported shootings. No official statement has been released by the police regarding the incident or potential threats to Dhillon.

The Bishnoi-Godara gang has a history of criminal activities, including previous attempts on Khan's life and alleged involvement in the death of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moosewala.

On April 14, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle fired multiple rounds into the air outside the Dabangg actor's Bandra residence before fleeing the scene. Shortly after, Mumbai police revealed that the suspects, identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were apprehended in the Bhuj district of Gujarat.

The incident followed previous threats against Khan. In March last year, Mumbai Police filed a First Information Report (FIR) against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar after a threatening email was sent to Khan's office. Following these threats, the actor's security detail was increased to Y-Plus level in November 2022, and he was granted a permit to carry a personal weapon for self-defence.
