Dengue cases decline

Dengue mosquito attacks on citizens have started to decrease as out of six patients brought in to hospitals for a diagnosis, during the last 24 hours, only one patient turned out to be dengue positive.

This year, the total number of dengue positive patients reported so far, is 61, while there were 645 malaria patients, two Congo patients. Fortunately, no monkey pox patients have been registered as of yet.

The number of dengue patients under treatment in various hospitals at the present moment is 12, including seven patients in Holy Family Hospital, four in District Headquarters Hospital and one patient in BBH Hospital.

A total of 108 beds have been reserved for dengue patients in government hospitals, while more beds have been allocated for monkey pox and malaria patients.
