Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves, who starred together in the 1992 film "Dracula," continue to jokingly refer to each other as 'husband' and 'wife' due to an accidental on-set marriage. During the filming of the movie, director Francis Ford Coppola used a real Romanian priest for the wedding scene, leading Ryder to believe they might be married in real life.

In a 2018 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ryder revealed, “We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to god I think we’re married in real life. In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest.” Reeves later confirmed this in an interview with Esquire, saying, “We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests. Winona says we are, Coppola says we are, so I guess we're married under the eyes of God.”

Despite not having a romantic relationship, the pair continue their playful tradition. Ryder mentioned during the promotion of her film "Beetlejuice 2" that she still refers to Reeves as her ‘husband’ on special occasions, and he responds in kind.

Ryder also shared a humorous anecdote about the film set, where Coppola attempted to make her cry by encouraging other cast members to shout insults. “Francis was trying to get all of them to yell things that would make me cry. But Keanu wouldn’t, Anthony wouldn’t,” Ryder said.

Their continued playful banter reflects their enduring friendship and the memorable experience of working together on "Dracula."
