KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday disposed of five petitions for the recovery of missing persons, after a police report said that those people, including a young woman, were traced and had returned home.

A two-member (SHC) bench led by Justice Naimatullah Phulphoto, ordered the authorities concerned to take steps for the recovery of the remaining missing persons. Justice Naimatullah Phulphoto remarked that if someone's child was missing, it agonised the family.

During the hearing, the police reported that they had traced five missing citizens, including the girl, from different areas of Karachi. It added that citizens Khadim, Hamad, Umeer Aziz and Moeez had returned home, while the girl Tania married of her own free will.

The court disposed of the requests for the recovery of those five missing persons. The court ordered expeditious steps for the recovery of a girl and others, who had gone missing from Korangi, Landhi, Sachal, Airport and other areas of the metropolis.
