The Cure's keyboardist, Roger O'Donnell, bravely opened up about his battle with lymphoma. In a series of posts on X, O'Donnell disclosed his diagnosis of a rare and aggressive form of the blood cancer last September. He admitted to initially ignoring the symptoms but sought medical attention after several months.

Following surgery and a biopsy, O'Donnell underwent 11 months of treatment, including immunotherapy, medication, and radiotherapy. Now, he shares a positive outlook, stating that he's "fine and the prognosis is amazing."

O'Donnell used his experience to raise awareness about blood cancer and emphasize the importance of early detection. He urged people to get tested if they have any concerns and offered words of encouragement to those battling cancer.
