Daniel Craig, widely recognized for his portrayal of James Bond, made a striking appearance at the Venice Film Festival on September 1, 2024. Accompanied by his wife, actress Rachel Weisz, Craig surprised fans with a new look, sporting long hair that reached just above his shoulders. The couple was seen arriving at the event, with Craig dressed casually in jeans, a white T-shirt, and sneakers, while Weisz wore a black dress, white sunglasses, and heels.

The change in Craig's appearance quickly became a topic of discussion among fans and on social media. One fan expressed their excitement, writing, "RACHEL WEISZ AND DANIEL CRAIG HAVE OFFICIALLY ARRIVED IN VENICE FOR THE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL!!!" on Twitter. Others were surprised by Craig's new hairstyle, with comments such as, "HE HAS HAIR???" and "Daniel’s hair😭😭😭😭😭😭."

Some fans joked about Craig’s resemblance to other celebrities, with one saying, "That's Paul McCartney," and another comparing him to William H. Macy's character in Shameless, writing, "FRANK GALLAGHER ?!" While some lamented the loss of Craig’s previous buzz cut, others defended his new look, with one fan stating, "ppl making fun of his hair in the qrts... get behind me daniel 😭✋✋✋."

Craig first revealed the longer hairstyle earlier this summer when stills from his upcoming film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery were released. The movie, which recently finished filming, is set to be released in 2025. Currently, Craig is in Venice to promote his latest film, Queer, marking his first acting role since the 2022 release of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
