KARACHI:

Recent rains in the metropolitan city have disclosed the inefficiency of local body institutions.

Roads in Bahadurabad and Mehmoodabad have suffered significant damage, with potholes and mud making commute increasingly difficult. The administration's inadequate planning and lack of urgency are worsening the situation for residents.

It is reported that the road from Tariq Road to Char Minar Chowrangi is in severe disrepair while several sections are broken, disrupting traffic flow and posing risks to vehicles.

Meanwhile, citizens report that the damaged roads are not only harming their vehicles but also disrupting their daily routines.

Residents are urging the government to take immediate action to repair the roads and address the surfing issues.

The situation in Mehmoodabad has also deteriorated after the rains, with mud covering the streets and roads falling further into disrepair. The situation has created significant challenges for local residents. Furthermore, shopkeepers in the affected areas report that poor infrastructure is negatively impacting their business activities.

Frustration is growing among citizens, who criticise the government's promises and statements as ineffective and empty.
