Three terrorists were killed in different operations carried out by the security forces across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.
According to details, armed men opened fire on the security forces' camp in the Kadi Shamozai area of Dera Ismail Khan. The exchange of fire continued for more than two hours. The effective response by the security forces forced the terrorists to flee. No loss of life was reported.
In Upper South Waziristan, three terrorists were killed and two FC personnel injured as security forces targeted militants' hideouts.
The security forces besieged nearly 20 terrorists.
Separately, gunmen attacked a bomb disposal unit near Sholam Market, South Waziristan, which resulted in injuries to two security personnel. The security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
In Miranshah, North Waziristan, two rockets were fired at cantt from an unknown direction, landing on a helipad and injuring two security personnel.
In a separate act of terror, unidentified gunmen opened fire on Mandan Police Station in Bannu district. However, an effective response by the police forced the terrorists to flee.
