Rapper Fatman Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, suffered a medical emergency during a performance in Hamden, Connecticut, on Friday night. 

The incident occurred around 8:33 p.m. at Hamden Town Center Park, where the 53-year-old artist suddenly collapsed on stage, leading to panic among the audience. 

Viral footage on X (formerly Twitter) shows Fatman Scoop collapsing behind the DJ booth as the music abruptly stopped, with bystanders rushing to assist him. 

TMZ reported that emergency services were called to the scene, and Scoop was quickly transported by ambulance to a hospital.

Hamden Mayor Lauren Garrett confirmed the situation on social media, requesting thoughts and prayers for the rapper during this uncertain time. 

Fatman Scoop, widely recognized for his 1999 hit "Be Faithful" and his appearance on Missy Elliott's “Lose Control,” has left fans anxiously awaiting updates on his condition, as no further details have been released. 

Additional reports indicate that Fatman Scoop had been struggling visibly before his collapse, attempting to climb a platform on stage. 

The shocking moment brought the concert to a sudden halt, with the crowd left in stunned silence as emergency responders arrived. The cause of the medical emergency remains unclear, adding to the concerns of his supporters.
