Nicki Minaj has brought her longstanding feud with Travis Scott to light again by publicly supporting Sabrina Carpenter's latest album, Short N Sweet.

This comes as Scott is poised to dominate the charts once again with his re-released 2014 mixtape, Days Before Rodeo. Known for his strategic album bundles, Scott famously topped the Billboard 200 in 2018 with Astroworld, edging out Minaj’s album. Now, it seems Minaj is determined to ensure history doesn’t repeat itself.

Sabrina Carpenter released Short N Sweet on the same day as Scott’s Days Before Rodeo. Acknowledging the competition, Carpenter tweeted, "This is for Nicki" on August 29, drawing a clear parallel between her situation and Minaj’s in 2018.

Minaj, in turn, showed her appreciation during an Instagram Live session, encouraging her fans to support Carpenter's album. "Shout out Sabrina Carpenter, shout out all the Sabrina Carpenter fans," Minaj stated, signalling her intent to bolster Carpenter’s chances against Scott.

Minaj’s support for Carpenter is notably more subdued than her 2018 response when she criticised Scott on her Queen Radio show.

At the time, Minaj had lashed out at Scott for using album bundles to boost his sales, declaring, "What we're not gonna do is have that Auto-Tune man selling f*cking sweaters," and accusing him of inflating his album sales. She also took shots at Spotify and Kylie Jenner for their role in promoting Astroworld.

The drama intensified after Minaj’s endorsement of Carpenter, with Kanye West stepping in by reposting Scott's album on his Instagram Story. West, who has had a rocky relationship with Minaj recently, seems to be inserting himself into the ongoing rivalry.

As the sales battle between Travis Scott and Sabrina Carpenter unfolds, it remains to be seen if other artists will take sides.
