Those who reject the state are terrorists; we will tackle them: Interior Minister
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has stated those who support Pakistan will be highly valued, while those who do not recognise the state will be deemed terrorists, and measures will be taken against them.
He added that there is no ongoing operation in Balochistan.
During a Senate discussion on terrorism in Balochistan, he mentioned that the Apex Committee reviews the National Action Plan, asserting that Parliament is supreme and will remain so.
Naqvi announced that the Prime Minister has allocated Rs8 billion for Balochistan's Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), and 30 to 40 federal officers will be dispatched there.
He described the August 26 incident as extraordinary, involving multiple groups aimed at disrupting the SCO conference, and affirmed that those carrying weapons will be dealt with.
Naqvi added that the August 26 event was not normal but a planned attack, and that efforts to undermine the SCO conference will be countered, despite some wishing for the conference's cancellation.
