Undergraduate education discussed

KARACHI:

The Aga Khan University's Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) and the Institute of Business Administration's (IBA) School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS) organized a key dialogue on the future of undergraduate education. Held at IBA's Main Campus, the event brought together scholars and educational leaders from institutions such as AKU, IBA, Habib University, LUMS, and the University of Balochistan.

The dialogue, led by Professor Asma Hyder of IBA and Professor Farid Panjwani of AKU-IED, focused on the evolving landscape of undergraduate education in light of global challenges and technological advancements. Dr. Panjwani emphasized the need for universities to nurture students' potential through education that is critically progressive and historically grounded, urging educators to rethink the purpose and structure of undergraduate programs.

Sessions included discussions on the balance between skills and theoretical knowledge, the benefits of interdisciplinary approaches, and the importance of inclusion and diversity in education.
