Bangladesh series: Four Pakistan players rejoin squad for second Test

Pakistan has announced key changes to its Test squad ahead of the second Test match against Bangladesh, scheduled to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 30 August to 3 September.

Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam have been reintroduced to the squad after being released before the first Test.

Both players showcased their skills for Pakistan Shaheens in a four-day match against Bangladesh ‘A’ at the Islamabad Club from 20 to 23 August.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, who recently became a father, has rejoined the squad following his release after the first Test.

Additionally, Aamir Jamal, who was initially released to focus on his fitness at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), has been recalled. Aamir’s participation in the second Test, however, remains contingent on fitness clearance.

Bangladesh secured their first-ever Test win against Pakistan with a victory in the opening match in Rawalpindi. The visiting team now leads the two-match Test series 1-0.
