Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has called upon the civil society to join the government in its ongoing campaign against the spread of dengue virus. He was addressing a seminar at Al-Hamra Hall on The Mall.
He said that arrangements have been improved at all public hospitals and additional staff has been posted. He said a fumigation drive was underway in the city.
He said emergency committees, set up to control the spread of the virus and spread awareness about the preventive measures, had started functioning. The CM also called upon non-governmental organisations to come forward and offer their services for fighting the virus. He asked private hospitals to minimise their charges so that more patients could avail treatment there.
