Liam Gallagher claims Noel’s ex-wife Sara MacDonald caused Oasis split, calling her a ‘dark’ influence on Noel.

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has long claimed that his brother Noel's ex-wife, Sara MacDonald, was the reason behind the iconic band’s breakup. 

According to Liam, Sara's influence created a rift between the brothers, ultimately leading to the dissolution of Oasis. He has publicly described Sara as a "dark" presence in their lives, blaming her for driving a wedge between him and Noel.

The hostility between Liam and Sara was well-known, with their bitter and public arguments playing out over the years. Liam once called Sara a "b****" and hinted that an Oasis reunion would never happen as long as she was involved, with Noel reportedly furious over Liam’s remarks.

Sara, in turn, did not shy away from responding, allegedly calling Liam a "deplorable w***ker" and expressing her disdain for him. The feud between them seemed to cement the rift between the Gallagher brothers, making any hope of reconciliation—and an Oasis comeback—seem distant.

However, after nearly 12 years of marriage, Noel and Sara announced their split in January 2023. This separation reportedly had an "instant impact" on the relationship between Liam and Noel, who have since grown closer. Insiders suggest that the removal of Sara from the equation has paved the way for the brothers to mend their relationship, leading to the long-awaited Oasis reunion. 

The band recently announced a massive UK and Ireland tour for next summer, marking their first performances together in over a decade. This reunion, long thought impossible, is a testament to the power of reconciliation once the source of tension was removed.
