Teenage girl 'gang-raped' in Pindi

Police claim to have arrested the prime suspect

RAWALPINDI:

A 15-year-old student in Grade 9 was allegedly gang-raped by two men in the Saddar Beruni area. Their third accomplice continued to harass the victim.

Saddar Bairuni police registered a case on the victim's statement and arrested the principal accused. Raids are continuing to arrest the other two. The victim told the police that she was studying in a government school. One Qeemat Khan alias Khalil used to follow her during movement from and to school. The suspect harassed her, forcibly took her cell phone number and started talking over text messages. The complainant said she got scared and did not talk to Qeemat and rather told her sister about the episode.

On the day of the incident, the victim was alone at home when there was a knock at the door. A seven-year-old child informed the girl that some goats had entered the under-construction house.

When she accompanied the boy to take out the goats from the house, Qeemat Khan suddenly turned up there, forcibly picked her up and took her to the upper room. The suspect tortured the complainant and harassed her by slapping her.

The girl recalled that two people raped her and a boy continued to harass her. The suspects let the girl go after two hours. The girl reached home to inform her brother who further alerted the police.
