Three employees of the SNGPL have been abducted by militants who have shared their demands with officials in DI Khan, while a police constable has been killed by unknown gunmen in Kurram District on Saturday.

According to local sources, three employees of the SNGPL who were supplying fuels to drilling sites, were abducted by militants who later shared videos with the media about their demands.

Two of the abducted individuals were from Lakki Marwat District, while the third was of Punjab province, local sources told The Express Tribune Peshawar office.

The militants shared that their names were Saleem, Inayat, while the name of a third was still unknown. The militants threatened that if their demands were not met, the kidnapping victims would be shifted to another location.

In a separate incident, a police constable of FRP was killed in Kurram district and later buried in his home district of Charsadda.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari have both strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on the police checkpost in Kurram in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

PM Shehbaz, in his message, extended his tribute to the police officer who lost his life and urged for exemplary punishment for the perpetrators.

He emphasised the nation's respect for the sacrifices made by police officers and instructed relevant authorities to provide the best medical care to the injured.

President Zardari echoed these sentiments, expressed profound grief over the loss of police personnel and offered his condolences to the family of the fallen officer.

The attack occurred when terrorists targeted a police checkpost in Kurram. According to DPO Ahmed Khan, the assailants not only engaged in gunfire but also set the checkpost ablaze.
