A police spokesperson confirmed that the situation was now under control, with a substantial police presence and a heavy contingent of Rangers deployed to the area.

In response to the incident, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar requested detailed reports from SSP central and emphasised the need for robust security measures.

"Immediate action must be taken against those who have violated the law, including their supporters," Lanjar urged. He called for decisive legal action against the perpetrators and their patrons.

Despite the unrest, traffic flow in the area was restored, and religious gatherings related to Imam Husain’s Chehlum proceeded as scheduled. The situation remains under close scrutiny with continued efforts to maintain order and ensure public safety.
