Floyd Mayweather Jr. comfortably outboxed John Gotti III in their highly anticipated exhibition rematch on Saturday night at the Arena CDMX.

The 47-year-old boxing legend delivered a masterclass over eight two-minute rounds, showcasing his trademark skills that have defined his illustrious career.

Mayweather, who proclaimed himself "The Best Ever," controlled the bout from start to finish, using his jab to set up combinations and slipping Gotti III's punches with ease.

The bout was mostly free of controversy, except for a moment in the second round when the referee briefly halted the action to warn Mayweather about punching behind the head.

However, the referee was swiftly replaced, and the fight continued with Mayweather reasserting his dominance.

After the match, Mayweather and Gotti III embraced, appearing to bury any lingering animosity.

Gotti III acknowledged Mayweather's skills, stating, "He still got it."

Mayweather dismissed the idea of another exhibition bout with Julio Cesar Chavez, instead heaping praise on the Mexican legend for paving the way for fighters like himself.
