German minister concludes Pakistan visit

German Minister of Cooperation Svenja Schulze visited Pakistan at the invitation of her counterpart, Ahad Khan Cheema.

ISLAMABAD:

German Minister of Cooperation Svenja Schulze concluded her Pakistan visit on Friday, during which she met with PM Shehbaz Sharif and several other ministers as well as witnessed the signing of a MoU.

Schulze visited Pakistan at the invitation of her counterpart, Ahad Khan Cheema. She also met with Prime Minister Shehbaz, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Mariam Nawaz and others, the German Embassy said in a press release.

While talking to Schulze, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed Pakistan's strong desire to revive its partnership with Germany back to its glorious past. He appreciated Germany's longstanding support for Pakistan's socioeconomic development.

Schulze said that Germany was keen to increase its support for Pakistan's renewable energy sector and climate resilience initiatives.
