School sealed after assault on student

KARACHI:

A private school in Keamari was sealed following a sexual assault on a student.

The Directorate of Private Institutions Sindh, Karachi, after an investigation, recommended the Keamari deputy commissioner to seal Tayyaba Public Secondary School, Moach Goth.

A five-member team established a camp office at Islamia Public School, Moach Goth, to facilitate the relocation of students from the sealed Tayyaba Public Secondary School. The team ensured that affected students were enrolled in nearby schools without any admission fees, and with the same tuition fees, dress code, and textbooks as previously.

To inform the local community, posters were displayed prominently in Moach Goth, and announcements were made in mosques, advising parents to enroll their children in alternative schools with the same terms and conditions. The Directorate team met with parents and community members, who successfully enrolled their children in new schools.
