WWE icon Hulk Hogan found himself at the center of controversy after making inflammatory remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris during a bar appearance in Ohio on Monday night.
The wrestling legend, known for his outspoken support of former President Donald Trump, was promoting his new beer at the Thirsty Cowboy when he veered into political commentary.
In footage obtained by TMZ, Hogan is seen revving up the crowd, asking, "Want me to body slam somebody? You want me to body slam Kamala Harris?" The crowd responded with cheers, encouraging Hogan to continue.
He then made further remarks, questioning Harris's ethnicity by asking, "Is Kamala a chameleon? Is she Indian?" Harris, who is the Democratic nominee for president, is of Jamaican-American and Indian-American descent.
Hogan, seemingly realizing the potential backlash, attempted to downplay his comments by blaming them on the alcohol.
"I’m gonna get heat for that one, brother," Hogan said, adding, "That was not me, that was the beer talking."
The WWE legend has not addressed the remarks on social media, and his representative did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Hogan previously made headlines for his appearance at the Republican National Convention, where he voiced his support for Trump and dramatically ripped off his shirt to reveal a Trump-Vance tank top.
