Ice Spice shuts down Ozempic rumours, credits weight loss to hard work and healthy habits
Ice Spice is taking a stand against online speculation about her recent weight loss.
In an X Spaces chat on Monday, August 19, the 24-year-old rapper denied using Ozempic, a popular weight-loss drug, and attributed her slimmer figure to her busy tour schedule and healthy lifestyle choices.
Expressing frustration with the rumors, she exclaimed, "I wish y'all never learned the word Ozempic!" and even questioned its purpose, highlighting her unfamiliarity with the medication. The "Princess Diana" artist, currently on her first world tour, firmly stated that her transformation is the result of "hitting the gym" and "eating healthy," dismissing those spreading rumors as "lazy."
Ice Spice joins a growing list of celebrities who have publicly refuted claims of using Ozempic for weight loss, including 50 Cent, Julia Fox, and Jessica Simpson. Although Ozempic is approved for treating type 2 diabetes, its off-label use for weight loss has ignited controversy.
While some celebrities, such as Oprah Winfrey and Kelly Clarkson, have openly discussed using Ozempic or similar medications for weight management, Ice Spice's clear denial adds another voice to the conversation around body image and the pressures faced by public figures.
