The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has chalked out an elaborate plan to fight mice infesting the Senate and National Assembly Secretariats in Parliament House with the help of the private sector, it is learnt.
According to sources, the CDA has allocated a budget of more than Rs1.2 million for mice eradication. The plan involves the use of cats and the installation of mousetraps. The CDA is also seeking the services of the private sector through a tender, they added.
Parliament House has been facing a mice problem for some time now. The animals can be seen roaming around the secretariats at night and have caused a lot of damage, particularly to office files, as per the sources.
