Meek Mill denies political endorsement: "I know nothing about politics, not endorsing anybody"

The rapper's comments on Trump and Harris ignite discussions while he emphasizes his lack of political knowledge.

Meek Mill has sparked discussion and speculation with a series of tweets that delve into his thoughts on Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. 

Although the Philadelphia rapper hasn’t formally endorsed any candidate for the upcoming U.S. presidential election, his comments on August 14 have drawn attention from fans and the media alike.

In his tweets, Meek Mill reflected on his time in prison, sharing that his exposure to television programming taught him "every detail about Stormy Daniels" and introduced him to the "art of programming." 

This revelation led him to consider Trump’s life and legacy, acknowledging that he never did a history check on the former president but noted that Trump had even visited his neighborhood with OT7 Quanny.

The rapper further commented on Trump’s resilience, referencing an alleged assassination attempt in Pennsylvania: “He got shot at [and] basically put his middle finger up after [being] hit in the [ear]. Nobody ran… [I] hope you get well, too. We get shot at a lot! [He] got indicted [and is] still running for president! Who is this guy?”

Meek’s followers quickly began speculating that these remarks were an endorsement of Trump, prompting him to clarify his stance. 

“I’m not endorsing anybody. I know nothing about politics,” he tweeted, distancing himself from any political alignment.

Shifting focus, Meek Mill then turned his attention to Vice President Kamala Harris, questioning her past as the District Attorney of San Francisco. 

He expressed a desire to ask Harris about her views on the incarceration of Black and brown men, seeking to help her understand the issue from a survival standpoint that she may not have encountered.

These comments are not the first time Hip Hop figures have scrutinized Trump or Harris. 

Recently, YG criticized Trump’s proposal for police immunity, while Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee faced backlash for comments about voting for Harris.
