AKU president awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz

Aga Khan University's (AKU) President and Vice Chancellor Dr Sulaiman Shahabuddin has been awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his contributions to the advancement of education and quality of life in Pakistan.

He will be conferred the award at an investiture ceremony in Islamabad on March 23, 2025.

Since taking office as president of AKU, the university has seen significant growth and made major strides in education, research, and healthcare in Pakistan.

This impact has positively touched millions of lives, establishing AKU as a beacon of excellence.

Under President Shahabuddin, AKU has witnessed an increase in the number of students and fellows and made notable advancements in research, education, and policymaking.

In addition, AKU is also celebrating Aniqa Bano, an alumna of AKU-IED for being awarded the pride of Pakistan.
