Fresh monsoon system expected across Sindh from August 16

Met dept says likelihood of thunderstorms and rain in Karachi from August 16 to 19

A new monsoon system is expected to enter eastern Sindh on August 16, potentially bringing thunderstorms and rain to Karachi and various rural districts of Sindh, according to a weather alert issued by the Meteorological Department.

Under the influence of this system, there is a likelihood of thunderstorms and rain in Karachi from August 16 to 19. The districts of Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, and Sujawal are also expected to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms during this period.

Additionally, from August 16 to 19, thunderstorms and rain are anticipated in the districts of Ghotki, Sukkur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, and Larkana.

The Meteorological Department forecasts that the weather in Karachi will remain mostly cloudy with light rain and drizzle expected over the next three days. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature recorded in the city was 34.1 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels at 67%.
