The 23-year-old actress has been enduring a torrent of criticism since being cast as Snow White in Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation. Some fans have taken issue with remarks she made about the original 1937 film.

Despite the backlash, Zegler, who has also appeared in "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" and "Shazam!," has not hesitated to respond to online trolls. Recently, she took a sharp retort to a Twitter user who sent her a death threat.

The tweet, which has since been removed for violating Twitter’s guidelines, read: "Someone should kill you."

Zegler's reply was: "Fun fact I will be dying eight times a week on Broadway this fall!!!!!! Get your tickets, lee [the user's handle]! Also @/FBI."

Her response cleverly referenced Juliet's demise in the Shakespearean play and was praised by her supporters.

One user tweeted, "Promo queen," while another wrote, "God, you're such a champ. I'm so sorry you keep getting this kind of hateful garbage, but you're handling it like a total queen."

Zegler will be starring as Juliet in a Broadway revival directed by Sam Gold and featuring music by Jack Antonoff, known for his work with Taylor Swift.

Meanwhile, Disney released the first official trailer for the live-action "Snow White" at the D23 Expo on August 9.

In the trailer, Zegler performs the classic song "Whistle While You Work" while dancing with the seven dwarves.

The film is scheduled for release on March 21, 2025.
