A highly anticipated interview between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and former U.S. President Donald Trump on X Spaces faced significant delays due to a cyber attack.

Scheduled for 8 p.m ET, the conversation was pushed back by more than 30 minutes after what Musk described as a massive Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack on the platform.

Musk addressed the situation on X, stating, "There appears to be a massive DDOS attack on X. Working on shutting it down. Worst case, we will proceed with a smaller number of live listeners and post the conversation later."

As users experienced issues logging in, hashtags like "#crashed" and "DDOS" quickly began trending.

The internet responded with a flood of memes, poking fun at the technical glitches.

Comments ranged from sarcastic critiques of X’s reliability to humorous takes on the situation, with one user noting, "The best part about Twitter Spaces is how well it works," and another adding, "I was really hoping they were well prepared for this one. Would have been a really good look for X."

Despite the disruptions, the interview eventually went ahead, covering a range of topics including AI and global politics.

However, the technical difficulties overshadowed much of the discussion, and the meme fest that followed highlighted the irony of Musk’s tech prowess clashing with the platform’s failures.

Social media quickly turned the situation into a viral moment, with users sharing images of Musk trying to troubleshoot the issue and Trump humorously blaming the glitches on his past Twitter ban.
