Actress Nimra Khan successfully thwarted a kidnapping attempt after resisting her assailants.
The incident left the actress shaken, and she broke down in tears while recounting the details in a video shared on social media.
Nimra Khan revealed that the terrifying ordeal took place the previous day when she was almost abducted. According to her account, she was waiting for her car outside a hotel when three armed men stopped near her.
They attempted to forcefully drag her into their vehicle at gunpoint. Nimra, however, resisted the attackers and started running towards the pavement.
Despite her desperate situation, she noted that none of the nearby individuals came to her aid.
In her emotional statement, Nimra expressed her fears, stating that the armed men chased her and could have shot her during the pursuit. She managed to stop a passing car, and it was the family inside, along with the hotel staff, who came to her rescue.
Reflecting on the incident, Nimra posed a poignant question to her fellow citizens, "If women aren't safe in Pakistan, should we really be celebrating Pakistan Day? Can anyone confidently say that their sister, wife, daughter, or mother is safe in Pakistan? The answer, sadly, is no."
The video has since gone viral, with social media users expressing their sympathy for Nimra Khan and calling on the authorities to apprehend those responsible for the attempted abduction.
The incident has sparked outrage, with many demanding stricter measures to ensure the safety of women across the country.
