During a candid appearance at the 77th Locarno Film Festival, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan shared a humorous yet heartfelt story about his son Aryan Khan's striking resemblance to Jackie Chan right after his birth.
Khan, engaging with the audience, revealed, "You know, when kids are born, they look a bit like (makes facial expression). He’s like Jackie Chan. He looked very Jackie Chan-ish to me. Then I trained him in taekwondo assuming he’ll grow up to be Jackie Chan. I really wanted him to be Jackie Chan, I’m telling you honestly."
The superstar didn’t stop at the anecdote. He continued to speak highly of Jackie Chan, whom he met around three to four years ago. Khan praised Chan as one of his all-time favourite actors, citing him as “funny, physically amazing, and a talented performer.” This encounter left a significant impression on Khan, who described Chan as exactly as sweet and humble as he had imagined.
The connection between Khan and Chan doesn’t end with mere admiration. Khan shared that during their meeting, Chan humorously promised to open a Chinese restaurant in partnership with him if he ever saw the interview where Khan discussed their encounter.
Khan, renowned for his charismatic persona and exceptional acting prowess, has captivated global audiences in over 80 films and won 14 Filmfare Awards.
His stories and reflections at the festival not only entertained but also provided a glimpse into his personal life and the inspirations behind his illustrious career.
