Suspected beggars detained while attempting to board Umrah flight from Karachi

Investigations revealed that 11 suspects had presented fake return tickets and falsified hotel bookings

The authorities at Karachi Airport arrested 11 individuals on Monday attempting to travel to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas with the intention of begging.

The Federal Investigation Agency Immigration, during a routine operation, apprehended the suspects as they were about to board flight PK711.

The group included Shahid, Mujahid, Zafar, and eight women, all hailing from Punjab.

Investigations revealed that the suspects had presented fake return tickets and falsified hotel bookings.

\The initial inquiry confirmed that their real motive was to engage in begging activities in Saudi Arabia.

Following their arrest, the individuals were transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further legal proceedings.
