Susan Wojcicki, a trailblazing tech executive and former YouTube CEO, passed away on August 9th at the age of 56 after a two-year battle with cancer. Her husband, Dennis Troper, announced her passing on Facebook, expressing his profound sadness and highlighting her impact on their family and the world.

Wojcicki was a pivotal figure in Google's history, joining the company as its 16th employee in 1999 and even renting her garage to the founders in the early days. She led the acquisition of YouTube in 2006 and served as its CEO from 2014 to 2023, overseeing its massive growth and expansion into new areas like YouTube TV.
