CHARSADDA:

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ismat Khan was martyred on Saturday after unidentified assailants opened fire in the Behlola area, within the jurisdiction of Khanmai police station in Charsadda.

According to police sources, ASI Ismat Khan, who was serving in the Special Branch of the police, was attacked by unknown motorcycle riders while on his way from home to duty.

The assailants targeted him near his residence, leading to his martyrdom.

Following the incident, police and investigative teams arrived at the scene, collecting evidence to begin their investigation.

Multiple teams from Charsadda police have launched a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.
