'Moana 2' trailer unveiled at D23 Expo 2024, introduces a new character

The trailer features an older Moana, voiced again by Auli'i Cravalho, and the return of Dwayne Johnson as Maui.

The much-anticipated trailer for "Moana 2" was released at D23, offering a glimpse into Moana's next adventure. The trailer features an older Moana, voiced again by Auli'i Cravalho, and the return of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Maui. Set three years after the first film, the sequel introduces Moana's younger sister and hints at a thrilling journey beyond the reef, filled with new characters and challenges.

The voice cast includes returning stars like Rachel House, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Scherzinger, alongside newcomers like Hualālai Chung, David Fane, and Rose Matafeo. The film features original music by Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa'i, and Mark Mancina.

Originally planned as a Disney+ series, "Moana 2" is now set for a theatrical release on November 27, 2024. Cravalho recently expressed her excitement about returning to the role and exploring Moana's growth and challenges in this new chapter.
