Prince Harry urged to return £7 million inheritance before 40th birthday

Prince Harry is under pressure to return his £7 million inheritance to the Royal Family, according to a recent Express.co.uk poll. 

The results, released ahead of Harry's 40th birthday on September 15, reveal that 75% of readers believe he should relinquish the funds, which come from a trust set up by his great-great-grandmother, the Queen Mother. In comparison, 22% of respondents think Harry should keep the inheritance, while 3% were undecided.

Harry is poised to receive a larger share of the inheritance than his brother William, who already benefits from the Duchy of Cornwall's wealth. This situation has reportedly upset Prince William, who is reportedly displeased with Harry’s acceptance of the funds, given his decision to step back from royal duties and his public criticisms of the Royal Family.

Former royal correspondent Jennie Bond suggested that the Queen Mother would be disappointed with how events have unfolded, drawing historical parallels with King Edward VIII's abdication.
