Jamie Lee Curtis, renowned for her diverse acting career, recently revealed a unique practice she employs on film sets to promote fairness and dismantle traditional hierarchies. In a conversation with Kevin Hart on his SiriusXM podcast Gold Minds, Curtis shared that she asks crew members to wear name tags on set to ensure that everyone, regardless of their role, is acknowledged and treated with respect.

Curtis explained, "There’s something really uneven about our position on a set, on a movie, in this arena. You guys know our names, we don’t know yours. There’s something inequitable to me about that." By implementing this practice, Curtis aims to foster a more inclusive atmosphere where everyone is recognized and valued.

Known for her strong advocacy for equity and inclusion, Curtis has been a vocal supporter of various social causes, including electing more women to public office and defending the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. Her commitment to these principles extends beyond politics and into her work environment. "I just want it to be equitable because it’s an important thing," Curtis emphasized during the interview. "It’s art – there isn’t hierarchy in art. It’s supposed to be a group of people."

Curtis also reflected on the emotional impact of this practice during the filming of Halloween Kills in 2021. After her final scene, she recalled, "the entire crew were standing in silent solidarity with their hands behind their backs. And everyone was wearing a name tag. And the name tag said, 'We are Laurie Strode.'"
