'Rapist' loses ears, manhood

Enraged relatives of an alleged rape victim cut off the ears of a suspected rapist, and then proceeded to do the same to his manhood in the Nowshera district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.

Police told The Express Tribune that an eight-year-old child was raped at gun point by an accused identified as Muhammad Amin in the Dag Pabbi area. He allegedly made a video of the child and threatened to make it public if a complaint was lodged against him.

The child told his parents about the entire episode and family members managed to catch the alleged rapist on Wednesday.

"They chopped off both his ears with a sharp knife and then cut off his manhood too, leaving the accused unconscious. He was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition," a police officer said.

After regaining consciousness, Amin lodged an FIR with the police. The case filed against three members of the victim's family.

In his cross, FIR the victim child stated that he was playing cricket with other children when Amin approached him and said that he would give him a biscuit.

"He took me to his house. Took my clothes off and sodomised me and filmed the entire process," he complained, adding that he finally told his father about the incident who approached police and lodged an FIR.

Pabbi police registered a cross FIR into the case and started their investigation.
