On August 8, BLACKPINK celebrates its eighth anniversary since debuting in summer 2016 as YG Entertainment's first girl group in seven years.
To mark this milestone, the group released "BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN CINEMAS" on July 31.
This concert film showcases their finale performance from the "BORN PINK" world tour, where BLACKPINK performed in 34 countries across 66 concerts, drawing over 1.8 million fans—setting a record for the largest audience for a K-pop girl group’s tour.
BLACKPINK’s rise to fame began with their debut single album "SQUARE ONE" on August 8, 2016. The tracks "Boombayah" and "Whistle" reached first and second on Billboard's World Digital Songs chart, marking a historic debut.

As members pursue solo careers, Jennie, Rose, Lisa, and Jisoo have each made significant achievements. Jennie reached the U.S. iTunes top 10 with her solo debut "SOLO," while Rose and Lisa set records with their solo debuts in 2021.
Jisoo’s solo album "ME" became the first K-pop female solo album to sell over 1 million copies in its first week.
