Sabrina Carpenter, who rose to fame on Disney Channel's "Girl Meets World," has shed her squeaky-clean image and embraced a more mature persona in her music and performances.

In a recent interview with Variety, the 25-year-old singer acknowledged her shift from her Disney roots, saying, "I'm 900 inappropriate jokes away from being a Disney actor."

Carpenter's music has also undergone a transformation, with her latest singles "Espresso" and "Please Please Please" featuring more adult language and themes. This shift is a far cry from her early days with Hollywood Records, Disney's music label.

Despite this evolution, Carpenter maintains a strong connection with her fans who have followed her journey since her Disney days. She expressed her gratitude for their continued support, while also acknowledging her personal growth as an artist.

Carpenter's newfound success, including opening for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour and her first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 with "Please Please Please," solidifies her status as a rising pop icon. Her upcoming album, "Short n' Sweet," promises to further showcase her mature sound and playful personality.

While Carpenter may have left Disney behind, she remains open to acting opportunities, hoping to find the perfect script that aligns with her evolving career.
