QUETTA:

In an effort to ensure transparency and fairness in the recruitment process, the Balochistan government has established interview and scrutinising committees to meticulously review the credentials and backgrounds of candidates who have passed the written tests conducted by the Sardar Bahadur Khan Women's University.

The provincial government has decided to recruit over 9,000 teachers for schools across the province.

These measures are designed to uphold the integrity of the recruitment for the School Education Department under the Government of Balochistan, said in a notification obtained by The Express Tribune.

Led by senior officers Ghulam Ali Baloch, Saboor Kakar, Asfandyar Khan Kakar, Dostain Jamaldini, and Noorul Haq Baloch, the committees will crosscheck the family trees of candidates with NADRA records to verify their relationships with education authorities, testing service providers, and any alleged brokers involved in the recruitment processes.

A key part of their mandate includes conducting forensic audits of 5-10% of randomly selected answer sheets. These audits will determine the date and time of the attempted papers, analyse the handwriting of candidates, and verify the results issued to both failed and passed candidates.

The committees will also interview complainants informally regarding the screening tests and the behavior of officials and staff associated with the process. They will scrutinise individual and total bank deposits, disbursement receipts, and any relevant records to verify the distribution of fee amounts.

To ensure thoroughness, the committees will collect and examine records of applications, roll number slips, date sheets, attendance sheets, answer sheets, and both individual and consolidated results. These records will be crosschecked using scientific methods and in accordance with the recruitment policy of 2019.
