Protesters storm PM House, parliament following Hasina Wajid’s resignation

Young protesters raid kitchen, indulging in available food, and some seen taking valuable items

Thousands of protesters stormed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence and the parliament building in Dhaka, causing significant damage and seizing valuable items.

Videos circulating on social media showed the chaotic scenes as demonstrators broke into the PM House. Protesters destroyed photographs of Sheikh Hasina and her father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, while also damaging other property.

Young protesters raided the kitchen, indulging in the available food, and some were seen taking valuable items from the residence.

Similarly, a large number of students entered the parliament, occupying seats and conducting mock sessions. They removed pictures of Sheikh Hasina and other Awami League leaders.

Celebrations erupted across the capital, with millions taking to the streets. Protesters climbed and damaged statues of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, marking their discontent with the outgoing government.
