Victoria Beckham has shared that she found it challenging to balance motherhood and her career when her children were younger.

The singer and fashion designer, 50, also confessed that she and her husband David Beckham, 49, “didn't have much of a social life” while raising their family.

In an interview with Nicole Kidman for Vogue Australia, published on Friday, Victoria mentioned that finding the right balance was difficult and that she and her footballer husband didn't rely heavily on staff for raising their children.

The former Spice Girl clarified that although they had nannies and help from their parents with childcare, she often felt she was juggling multiple commitments while trying to be the best mother possible.

She explained that she felt a lot of pressure to excel as a mother and wife while also maintaining a successful career.

She said, “We’ve never had an enormous amount of staff, if you like. We do have nannies and we do have our parents, who have been amazing. But you do feel like you’re juggling.”

“You’re trying to be the best wife, the best mum, the best professional. We didn’t have much of a social life when the children were younger, that is just that one thing too much.”

However, the former singer mentioned that as their children leave home, she and David "are in the next chapter" and have shifted their focus.

Victoria and David, who married on July 4, 1999, have four children: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19.
