Iconic Portuguese striker after Euro 2024 setbacks, returns to his beloved club to reignite his form and silence his doubters.
Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his delight at rejoining Al-Nassr, stating it is "good to be back" after his underwhelming performance at Euro 2024 with Portugal.
The legendary Portuguese forward, who has won the Ballon d’Or five times, played more minutes at the tournament than any of his teammates but failed to score. His Euro 2024 journey ended in tears after missing a crucial extra-time penalty during Portugal's last-16 match against Slovenia.
Ronaldo entered his 11th major international tournament following an impressive 2023-24 season with Al-Nassr, where he scored 50 goals. However, his ability to perform at the highest level is being questioned as he approaches the age of 39.
Despite the doubts, Ronaldo has a history of proving his critics wrong and aims to do so once again in the 2024-25 season. He returned to Al-Nassr's pre-season training with a positive attitude after an extended break.
Al-Nassr will play a friendly match against Spanish team Granada on Sunday before facing Al-Taawoun in the semi-finals of the Saudi Super Cup on 14 August, marking the beginning of their quest for silverware in the new season.
