Imran Khan forms committee to review corruption allegations in K-P

PTI founder responds to corruption complaints in province with a dedicated committee to address the issue

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has responded to corruption allegations in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa by forming a three-member committee to review governmental matters, Express News reported.

The move comes after provincial minister Shakeel Khan raised concerns about corruption in the province.

The committee comprises former Governor Shah Farman, Qazi Anwar, and Anti-Corruption Advisor Musaddiq Abbasi.

Their mandate is to thoroughly examine the operations of the K-P government and provide a detailed report to Imran Khan.

Confirming the formation of the committee, Shah Farman stated, "The three-member committee has been established under the guidance of our founder, and we will strictly adhere to the directives issued by him."

This development follows a meeting between Minister Shakeel Khan and Imran Khan, during which the minister expressed concerns over corruption within various provincial departments.

The committee's formation signifies Imran Khan's commitment to addressing these issues and ensuring transparency in governmental affairs.

The new committee aims to investigate the claims and report their findings back to the PTI leader, underscoring the party's focus on rooting out corruption in the region.
