In a new promo video for NBC Olympics, Taylor Swift pays homage to three of America's top athletes: gymnast Simone Biles, swimmer Katie Ledecky, and sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson.
These stars recently earned medals in Paris, showcasing their remarkable talents on a global stage.
Swift narrates the minute-long clip, which features her single "Style" from the re-released album "1989." The video highlights the athletes' performances while Swift's voice encourages them and viewers alike with powerful words. "Never be afraid to show them who you are," Swift says.
"Especially when the whole world is watching. Because there’s no one way to be the best. No one way to inspire everyone else who will someday follow. You do what you love. You love what you do. You believe in your style, whatever it is."
The video concludes with footage of Biles, Ledecky, and Richardson in action, as Swift names them and praises their unique approaches to greatness. "Katie, Sha’Carri, and Simone," she finishes. "Three American stars, three different visions of greatness, tonight in Paris."
This tribute follows another notable promo earlier in the week, narrated by Beyoncé, who also highlighted Biles and the U.S. gymnastics team. "Let’s talk about power, because really, that’s what this story is about. Physical power. It’s beauty, it’s wonder, the way it never stops amazing you," Beyoncé states.
"Then there’s spiritual power, the kind that really matters. The power you can’t see, only sense. The power you need in those moments when life goes a little sideways on you."
Swift's and Beyoncé's contributions underscore the significance of these athletes' achievements and their influence on future generations.
