A jail police head constable was allegedly shot dead by a friend during an altercation in Quaidabad on Saturday.
The fatal brawl occurred at a cobbler’s shop near Daud Chowrangi. The deceased, identified as 40-year-old Akram, was a head constable in the jail police. Akram was at the shop with his friend Zafar when an argument escalated, leading Zafar to shoot Akram, according to Ghulam Hussain Pirzada, SHO Quaidabad police station. The shooting also injured 40-year-old Sadiq and two-year-old Shahzaib, who were passing by.
