Pakistan, Turkmenistan accelerate work on TAPI pipeline

TAPI project to boost industrial growth, create jobs and foster economic development

Pakistan and Turkmenistan have agreed to expedite the development of the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) gas pipeline project, a significant move towards enhancing regional economic integration and energy security.

This decision followed a meeting between Pakistan's Minister for Petroleum, Musadik Malik, and Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredow, during his two-day visit to Pakistan.

“TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) pipeline project will lower energy costs, boost industrial growth, create jobs and foster economic development,” remarked Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr Musadik Malik,

He added that reliable and affordable energy supplies were vital for industrial sectors and the overall economic stability.

Musadik Malik highlighted the substantial progress made through collaboration on the TAPI gas pipeline project, emphasizing its role in fostering economic ties between the participating countries.
