Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with the new Iranian President, Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, on Tuesday and conveyed to him the warmest wishes of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on his remarkable electoral victory.
Dar had an interaction with Dr Pezeskian at the dinner he had hosted in the honour of dignitaries visiting Tehran to attend his inauguration ceremony. In his conversation with the Iranian president, the deputy prime minister reaffirmed Pakistani government's commitment to deepen the bilateral relations.
Dr Pezeskian thanked Dar for attending his inauguration ceremony and also thanked the president and the prime minister of Pakistan for their good wishes.
He underlined the commitment of his government to have good relations with all the neighbours.
